Events

Heart of Gold-Scholarship Luncheon:

On October 7, the College of Engineering celebrated the 18th annual Heart of Gold luncheon. This year 125 students received scholarships valued at more than $200,000.  The luncheon provides the students with an opportunity to meet the donors who support them.  Without the generosity of donors such as you, many of these students would not be able to achieve their full potential both academically and professionally.  Thank you so much for contributing to this very important event.

Florida Engineering Society Conference Reception 2011 Miami Beach at the Fontainebleau:

On August 5, 2011 the College of Engineering hosted a reception sponsored by Tierra at the annual FES conference. Over 75 alumni joined us as we ate, drank and reminisced about our time spent at USF.

Bullarney:

On March 26, 2011 over 200 alumni, friends, faculty and staff of the College of Engineering got together for the 15th annual Bullarney fundraising event at the Wyndham Tampa Westshore Hotel. Bullarney is a dinner program with alumni and faculty serving as 'celebrity waiters'. Each table has a unique theme created by the table's waiter. Bullarney raises money for student scholarships, grants, and programs. From last year's proceeds, EAS provided $22,250 to students in the form of scholarships and grants.

Courtside Cabana:

The Courtside Cabana's are a VIP experience for alumni to enjoy at a USF men's basketball home game. Tickets to the cabana include food, drinks and of course the ability to watch a basketball game from comfortable seats right behind the net. This past year HSA and Tierra participated as sponsors for the cabana.

Homecoming Parade:

This social event was designed to 'show off' the fun and social side of engineering alumni. The audience was made up of students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of USF. Robert Andrew volunteered his 1967 Kaiser Jeep Deuce and a Half, Old-School-Engineered Troop Carrier for the parade. USF alumni were 'passengers' and threw candy and USF spirit items to folks lining the roads of USF.
