Other documents and figures
• I made a figure that compares fractional conversion in a CMFR and a PFR for first-order reaction at steady state. For a given value of the Damköhler number, the PFR is always more efficient than the CMFR. The difference seems to be greatest when Da ≈ 2 or so (…I haven’t checked that mathematically, I am just eyeballing it from the graph).
