1. There are 2 soft internal deadlines: 15th September & 30 th January to submit sloan applications. Applications must be sent to Maya Trotz prior to sending it off to SLOAN. We have an internal process to cross check on citizenship, ethnicity, hrs, co-advisors, etc before the applications go out .

2. Students must be US Citizens.

3. Students must have 30 graduate hours or MS.

4.  Sloan is an enhancement - Sloan is NOT the sole source of the student's support. The students should have a TA. RA, or other fellowship (McKnight, Graduate School, etc.).

5. Sloan fellows must provide proof of health insurance coverage..  If they do not have health insurance, they must agree to use their Sloan funding to obtain health insurance and provide documentation that they have coverage.

6. Part time students are not eligible. Only full time students are eligible for SLOAN.

7. Our agreement clearly requires that Sloan mentors need to be co advisors of the awardees. Please click here for eligibile SLOAN mentors from our department.
