Student Intern Position at the ATM Group of Sun Labs

The High-Speed Networking group at Sun Microsystems Labs is working on
various state of the art projects in the area of ATM networks.
We are looking for a graduate student summer-intern with a strong C
programming experience in the UNIX environment. The successful
candidate should have a good grasp of networking concepts in general and
ATM networking in particular. The student will participate in one or
more of our design and software development efforts including ATM
network control testbed. He/she should have good communications skills
and be able to work in teams.

Subject: Networking and multimedia research at SRI International
SRI International's Computer Science Laboratory has a position open in
development of advanced communications protocols and multimedia systems.
Areas of research include protocols for quality of service in group
communications, multicast of integrated video and audio streams, and
protocols for network security. Successful candidates should have Ph.D.
or M.Sc. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, and a

Subject: summer internship at Bell Labs
SUMMER INTERNSHIP AT BELL LABS, HOLMDEL, NJ

The Multimedia Communication Research group at Bell Labs, Lucent
Technologies, is seeking graduate students for a summer internship at
Holmdel, New Jersey.
The intern will be involved in the design and development of a novel
architecture for distributed resource management in an intranet
environment. Specific applications include management of a generic web
server and a Web-based distant learning system.
The successful candidate must have strong programming skills and a good
understanding of networking issues. Knowledge of JAVA and C++ is a
requirement; previous experience in Web programming is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Windows NT will be a plus.
