Group members - Anand kumar Santhanakrishna and Houman Yaghoubi received first place awards for their presentations during the NanoFlorida 2012 conference
During 10 weeks Shantonio worked in the Bio-Organic Electronics Lab under the mentorship of Tete Tevi. He worked on studying the effect of surfactants on the porosity of a conducting polymer film for supercapacitor devices. His work won:
- The 1st Place in Oral Competition (Technology & Engineering) at the Emerging Researchers National Conference (ERN)-(Mar. 2013)
- The 1st Place in Oral Presentations and the 3rd Place in Poster Presentations at the 7th Annual Peach State Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (PSLSAMP) Fall National Symposium and Research Conference – (Oct. 2012)
