On cutting the potato |
||
A long, long time ago (1975) when I was in high school, my English instructor gave away the secret of keeping a knife sharp. He said, "Use a knife to cut a potato everyday, and the knife will stay sharp". Same is the case with our brain; if we use our brain everyday, the brain will stay sharp. So you may ask - what kind of potato should I cut? It does not matter what kind of potato you cut - a sweet potato, an Idaho potato, Red Nordland potato, Red Bliss potato, Yukon potato, Yellowfin potato. My advice - just cut a potato - any type of potato. So what are you waiting for - cut the potato! |

PS. One of my students, JS, took cutting the literal potato to the next level by cutting the potato with a band saw. This is what we call verification.
